I met Linux in 1999 for the first time, i use it for my primary operating system since.
Since 2005 I was working for Novell Inc. as a SUSE Systems Engineer, later as a Consultant. I was supporting SUSE Linux Enterprise users and customers and worked hard to improve the SLE operating systems and other SUSE products. I have built several high availabilty clusters, and when virtualization hit the market I was working with SUSE supported Xen and KVM virtualization technology and gained a lot of experience of designing virtual infrasturctures. I really liked to work with OpenStack which directly led me to cloud based technologies.
Whatever i work on, I always strive to understand as much as possible, see the bigger picture. This allows me to solve problems more effectively.
I used to host training sessions and public presentations in hungarian, like Linux Akadémia, Szabad Szoftver Konferencia, or Linux az Oktatásban Konferencia. I trained my co-workers regularly about basic and advanced Linux topics to increase the quality of their work, or enable them to troubleshoot issues when working on Linux. This increases teamwork, which i find extremly important.
Spend my free time with my wife and dogs. Used to help rehabilitate shelter dogs. And also i'm an amateur car mechanic.
